"Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority ... the Constitution was made to guard against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." - Noah Webster

"There is no worse tyranny than forcing a man to pay for what he does not want just because you think it would be good for him."
-- Robert A. Heinlein

New Year Resolutions: Brava!

This was my first stumbling upon this writer, over at David Horowitz's Blog.  I'm so glad I did.

I read all eleven of her short pages, and it was a very pleasurable read.  Reading about the Fair Tax made me think that I need to do a post on that some day, even though all the economic indicators I can see tell me it's too late for it to make a difference before the collapse and reset comes about.  I suppose the only good reason for posting about it in detail is to make sure that we never again make the mistake of allowing an income tax.

Go check it out.
